Healthy Eating Manual

The Nutrition Resource Centre has produced a new resource that will be of interest to workplaces.  It is an on-line resource that consists of 8 ready-to-use “lessons” designed for use by a number of groups including Occupational Health Professionals and other workplace wellness champions who are involved in delivering healthy eating education.  Here’s the link to the Manual:

 The Lessons focus on:

  1. Introduction to health eating (based on Canada’s Food Guide).
  2. Healthy Eating, the Lower Sodium Way.
  3. Healthy Eating with Whole Grains.
  4. Healthy Eating with Fats on the Menu.
  5. Healthy Eating with More Fibre.
  6. Healthy Eating with Vegetables and Fruit.
  7. Healthy Eating Out.
  8. Healthy Eating: Choose less sugar.

Each lesson consists of a leaders guide with script, PowerPoint presentation, and quick learning activities.  The materials are designed for use with adults.

This is a free resource and all materials can be downloaded from the website once you have registered.

The Nutrition Resource Centre will be presenting a webinar to provide orientation and training on using the website and materials on March 22, 2012.  Webinar registration information will be announced later this month.
