Encourage Employees to Exercise—Even When Sitting at Their Desks

Host a seminar on “Deskercise,” a series of stretching exercises that employees can call upon while working to reduce the strain caused by sitting and typing for extended periods of time.  Some examples include neck rolls, shoulder shrugs, stomach squeezes, hip twisters, wrist curls and yawning.  Challenge employees to keep a log of how many times they “deskercize” each day.
