How To Use This Site

This website, is a local ‘go-to’ site for employers and workplace wellness champions.  Our intention is to make this a living site with new information and resources being added on a regular basis.  We encourage you to include visiting this site at least on a monthly, if not weekly, basis.

You will spend most of your time in the RESOURCES  section which has been divided into five categories:

Healthy Workplace

- focuses on strategies and ideas that help organizations create healthy social environments in their workplace

Healthy Employees

- focuses on strategies and ideas that support individual employees in being healthy in their personal and work lives

Healthy Community

- focuses on strategies and ideas that help the organization be a good neighbour

Health and Safety

- focuses on strategies and ideas that will ensure that employees are physically safe and healthy on the job

- provides general information that supports workplace wellness

Within each of these resource categories, you will find a drop-down menu that will include a variety of topics.  When the mouse hovers over any one of these topics, you will see a fly-out menu.  The menu contains the following standard items:

  • Supportive Work Environment
  • Policy Ideas
  • Links and Resources
  • Activity Ideas and Kits

If you cannot find that category, it means that we have not put any content in it yet.  Keep checking back since we plan to continually add material.

Each idea on this site is a separate ”post”.  To be sure to see the entire post, hover your mouse over the title (it will turn green) and click.

Each of these categories correspond with three common health promotion strategies that you can learn more about under Workplace Health 101.
